We're just back from four magical days in Disneyland Paris and if I was struggling to find the Christmas spirit for the book I'm writing before - I'm certainly not now.
Because like it or not Disney do Christmas very, very well.
From the beautifully decorated Main Street, to the huge Christmas tree at the entrance of the Disneyland Park the whole place just oozes Christmas spirit.
And everywhere you turn there is another Disney character - often adorned in Christmas regalia. And you are surrounded by Christmas music being piped all around you.
Christmas at Disney is definitely commercial, but the spirit is definitely alive and well!
Merry Christmas everyone!
It looks like a fantastic time was had by all! Have a very Merry Christmas, Scarlet!
ReplyDeleteSounds and looks fabulous!

ReplyDeleteMany thanks Caroline. Wishing you lots of luck with your writing next year!
ReplyDeleteLooks fab, we were tossing up whether to go or not - you'd recommend it then? Happy Christmas, hope Santa is suitably Radley-fied in your house! x
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Scarlet! I hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful Christmas and a happy, healthy and successful 2012.

Joanne could definitely recommend it, although don't go in summer, it's far too busy. You'll queue for 2 hours for a ride. Nov/Dec is much quieter. Stayed at Disneyhotel and although it was lovely and right next to park entrance I went to see the New York and Newport Bay hotels as well. Just as nice, five minute walk around a lake and cheaper!
ReplyDeletemany thanks Julie. Just been to your blog and seen the really kind review you gave me - thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fab time :0) Belated Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
